Since my 3rd quarter has started at PC, I won’t be able to do my “blogwork” over here daily as I should.  I’m still keeping this blog up and running for the occasional spurt of ingenuity, but to keep up with my daily goings-on, head over to:

In her head she heard him; it was clear as day.  “I love you Mia,” again she heard it, though, this time it wasn’t him.  After slipping on a robe she opened the bathroom door and saw him.  Some guy she’d met after Ray died.  She’d felt vulnerable and needy.  Last night she just wanted someone to love her, love all over her, all night long.  Tequila did the trick and this new face turned into Ray.  Mia thought she had dreamt her love making session with Ray, but in fact, she had been making love to…

“Uhm, I’m sorry.  I don’t remember your name.” She asked with her head lowered.

“That’s funny, you screamed it all night long.  My name is Raymond.” He said.

Mia finally looked up at his face, “Ray?”

“That’s right.”  He smiled.

It wasn’t her Ray.

Mia dropped to her knees in disbelief.  Why would she do this to herself?  She not only felt like she’d just cheated on her Ray, but now she’d invited this other Raymond into her bed.  In the fetal position on the kitchen floor, crying hysterically, the new Raymond seemingly understood.  As he picked her up to take her back to the bed she wondered what she had told him in order for him to be so kind. 

I looked up domain names and traciemae.com was still available.  So was tracieroberson.com but that’s just blah.  My granddaddy used to call me Tracie Mae.  Mae is not now, nor has it ever been my middle name, but that was what he called me.  I thought it was cute.  I’m going with it, don’t crap on my parade here. 

 I started sketching out how I’d want to write my new “logo.”  Here’s a little bit of that -

Then I thought about the actual page – what would it look like? 

I love my diary and even though I haven’t written in it in a couple months, I still think it’s beautiful.

 So I thought, what if my website looked like a diary or a notebook of some sort.  I just like the look of the diary with the ribbon down the side and the embroidery.

Uhm yeah so I wrote this really lame story about this dude who got thimblerigged the whole day, and he even played the thimblerig (3 cups and a pea) game; it wasn’t working for me.  I wanted this day to be personal essay day, not fiction writing.  So hey, at least we all learned a new word.  As for the story, give me a break…it’s my first day.  Didn’t mean to thimblerig anybody.
